With multiple locations across the United States and backed by institutional partners, United Flea Markets is well-positioned for continued growth through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions. The CFO will report directly to the CEO and will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s financial strategy and long-term success.

Position Summary

We are seeking a strategic and experienced finance leader to oversee all aspects of our financial operations. The CFO will be responsible for aligning financial goals with broader business objectives, fostering financial health, and enabling data-informed decision-making at every level of the organization. This is a key executive role requiring strong leadership, integrity, and a deep understanding of financial strategy in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the execution of financial strategies that support organizational growth and profitability.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and actionable insights.
  • Manage all financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, audit, and internal controls.
  • Direct the Controller in maintaining accurate records, GAAP-compliant procedures, and system integrity.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leadership team.
  • Conduct ongoing financial analysis to assess company performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Oversee capital structure, cash flow management, and investment strategy.
  • Lead financial due diligence efforts for acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions and external auditors.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, development, and excellence within the finance team.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally in a multi-site or operationally complex organization.
  • Proven track record of success in financial planning, capital management, and corporate strategy.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial compliance, and ERP systems (Great Plains experience a plus).
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and lead through change with strategic foresight and resilience.

Location: This is a full-time, office-based role located in the  Henderson, Colorado area.
